Photosanity from Folsom, United StatesWow - Fascinating Photograph. What an incredible Sky! Beautiful. 18 Apr 2009 5:11am Pied Crow from Nairobi, KenyaStrange sky...what kind of processing did you do on this shot? 18 Apr 2009 9:15am @Pied Crow: See TD's comment below for the PP. Tony Duque from Raleigh, United StatesWonderful shot, shroom! Thanks for remembering to post this... obviously just for me! ;-) These are some of the most vivid and unusual crepusculars I've ever seen, and you composed the shot perfectly to maximize the view of their spread. Really a beautifully balanced picture... color, contrast, clarity. Just love the little neon cross and entry at the little church. 18 Apr 2009 12:41pm @Tony Duque: Yeah, same pp flow. I was never happy with this pic, but learning some GIMP recently has made it good enough to post. TD, it took me a few minutes to get pulled over at a decent location and set up the tripod with cold fingers. The fan of light had shrunk from back over my head down to this in just those several minutes. Lindsay from North Carolina, United StatesThat is the craziest sunset ever!! Nice catch! 18 Apr 2009 2:54pm Susan from Fort Lauderdale, FL, United Stateswhatever you did, you ended up with a phenomenal final product!!! the sky is just too wild....and i see tony has used that newest of words i've just learned, crepuscular!!!! love the light, and colors, and especially, the neon looking light on the cross and building!!! 18 Apr 2009 3:41pm @Susan: I was desperate for anything interesting to put in front of the sunset before it shrank away. I sorta got lucky with the neon Christmas lights I suppose. MontereyJohn from Salinas, California, United StatesBrrrrrrr, now I remember why I moved to California ... but a fine shot! 18 Apr 2009 7:50pm Lesley from Lincoln, United StatesAmazing shot. Looks like the aliens have landed! Kudos to you, 'shroom. 20 Apr 2009 1:44am |
