@Tracy: Thx, Tracy.
This looks so tranquil, its a pity he wasn't coming towards you. Great shot.

@ttt: Yeah, coming towards the camera woulda been better, but we were following in a vehicle - so no chance of that happening.

@GJC: Laying in the backseat within reach. I actually hesitated before I reached for it. Patient deer stuck around long enough for me to shoot him.
Great moment! Hope it managed to avoid the rest of traffic.. I like this a lot.

Wow...great catch. If that was here it would have been someones dinner. People around here in the mountains are crazy! :)

@Lindsay: Yeah, people poach deer around here, too. Me and my camera got pulled over recently in the countryside by a game warden who thought I was a poacher. I was reported by a local to be driving erratically down a dirt road.
actually, i kind of like the fact that he's walking away from ya, instead of towards you!!! when you got pulled over for driving erratically, were you shooting pics while you were driving????? i've been known to do that!!

@Susan: Nah, just gawking.
the lone deer sort of adds a mystery to the pic
