Lake Ray Roberts, Tx
Ah, so here is the famous "shroom" :) Stephen Phillips speaks well of you, so here I am dropping by, and glad I did.
What are you doing with the Rebel XT??? Mine never look this clear (which is why I bought my Sony alpha). Really nice work! Great image.
Adding you to the watch list :)

@MontereyJohn: Well, if SP is enjoying my stuff I must be doing something right. Yeah, I sometimes wonder if life would be easier if I had IS in either my lenses or body - but I'll use this XT until it falls apart. My brother has the a300 and the IS in the body definitely gives him some sharp pics.
Very nice composition, looks like the roots are their legs and they are walking!

@Elena Kotrotsou: Thx, it would have been funny to put shoes on their "feet" to see how it looked.
Great knarly roots, and interesting structures that you've seen

@Laura: Thx for visiting, L.
Nice shot! Great colours and composition. Looks like something from Lord of the Rings.... ;-))

@Eric Cousineau: Thx, E. Yeah, right? Very Tolkien-esque vibe.
Great shot you got on this one......makes me think of those "alive" apple trees in Wizard of Oz.....
and interesting that someone commented on your rebel today.... I got a very similar comment on mine today too.... Why do people think that Rebel XT's can't take marvelous shots??????

@Susan: Yeah, from MJ, same guy. When I saw these pics - http://leoneone.aminus3.com/portfolio/ - taken with the same camera I use, I figured bad pics were definitely my fault and not the camera's. Your Tamron 28-300 has me intrigued as a walking-around lens - so you really like it, eh?
I actually do love my new tamron lens, alot!!! With the VC (IS in Canon talk!)... it's just a wonderful lens for the price.... i don't even own the kit lens anymore that the camera came with.... i do have an 18-70 also, but don't use it anywhere near as frequently as the 28-300. in fact, the dogs the other day, the cat today, and the rest of this weeks shots were all done with the Tamron last weekend.... so as you can see, it's quite versatile!!!

@Susan: Reviews for this cheap Canon 75-300 I got for XMas declare it will either fall apart or the motor will go kaput within a year with regular use. The Tamrons will look might tempting when that happens - either the 18-270 or the 28-300.
mes marcheurs de la vie, image extraordinaire, ils sont là ,vivant ^^

Very nice shot...I love the red dirt & the twisty roots (BTW, I shoot with a rebel sometimes, and have come up with some pretty good stuff with it!-It's simple to use & light.)

@Tracy: Thx, Tracy. I took more 'red dirt' pics over the weekend. Yay for Rebels!
Certainly looks like they are crawling up the hill!

i am really impressed with your images, the sharpness and clarity are striking. jim

@jim: Well thanks, jim. I have no image stabilization on my gear, so job one is fighting camera shake.
